"Vinyasa yoga" is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes in which movement is synchronized to the breath. Vinyasa literally means "the intelligent putting together of things," or "uninterrupted flow" — in this case, the coordination of breath and movement.
At "One Yoga Pilates", the classes are dynamic yoga classes with the tradition of Vinyasa Yoga kept in mind. Vinyasa is a general term that describes many different styles of yoga that are on the more vigorous side, with continuous movement and a rapid flow from one posture to another. Sometimes people refer to a vinyasa class as a “flow class”.
A derivative of Ashtanga Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga connects breath and asana to create an internal heat. Fluid transitions allow poses to flow from one to another, developing strength, stamina and flexibility while also calming the mind.
